I am Mary Durman and I am the CEO of Promise Inclusion (formerly Wokingham, Bracknell & Districts Mencap).
Promise Inclusion is a local charity supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, their carers and families and I have worked for the charity since 2003.
The charity has been involved in the work of the Learning Disability Partnership Board since it first began and I have been part of the Board since 2007.
I am passionate about the rights of people with a learning disability and their carers and feel they should have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else and be part of their local communities.
I like learning languages, reading, going for walks and doing Pilates, which helps me de-stress.
