Polytunnel perfection!

The new polytunnel
The new polytunnel

In the glorious good weather last Friday the CLASP Gardening Club were the very grateful recipients of a new polytunnel donated by Hall Hunter Partnership.

Hall Hunter grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries across three farms in Berkshire and Surrey and supply many of the leading UK retailers.

Dismantling the old polytunnel

The old slightly scruffy polytunnel which had served the CLASP Gardening Club well over the last few years was dismantled and replaced by the hardworking team from Hall Hunter, our volunteer Pete, who runs the Gardening Club, and Deb's husband Fraser. The team worked hard all day and despite having to make some slight modifications to make the new polytunnel fit could stand back and admire their work by mid afternoon.

The new polytunnel is slightly bigger than the old one and gives Pete and the Gardening Club members the opportunity to grow a greater variety of things. Not to mention if the weather is poor more room to stay in the dry!

Thank you Hall Hunter Partnership for your kindness in giving us not only a new polytunnel but also for your exceptional hard working team that put it together with Pete and Fraser, and took the old one away.

CLASP Gardening Club runs every Thursday from 2pm-4pm at Oakfield Court. £2 to attend.
